Everest high passes 2010

About trip:
A strong of challenges from Everest Base Camp - Kala Patthar to the Chola and Renjo passes. The Killer Mountain(7 165 m), Lhotse (8 511m), Gokyo Peak (5 480 m), Six-Lakes with Nave Peak (5 544 m) ascents are the most of the highlights of this trip, we rest here to take pleasure in the unbelievable landscape, with glorious views of Everest (8 848 m), Makalu (8 475 m), Cho Oyo (8 153 m). Renjo La (5 345 m), will be the best way to end the high passes and shortcut with very different panorama of Tibet Mountains and Relema Lake in other side. We will have a last chance to have a great scene of Gokyo lakes and the countless snowy peaks in the surroundings that brings up an absorbing impression.

Itinerary:
Day01. Flying to Lukla (2 800 m.) Early in the morning we trek to Phakding (2 650 m). A first gental walk along Dudhkoshi River. The lunch camp will in Ghat (2 492 m) after one and half hour. After taking rest we will start to trek to Phakding. It takes one and a half hour. We will have beautiful scenery while we will walk in the day.

Day02. Trek to Namche Bazaar (3 440 m.) the main gateway to enter Mt. Everest from Nepal side. The National Park office will be there to register your entry before we walk to Namche. Jorsale(SNPE) Sagarmatha National Park Entry. It takes four and half hours to reach the last camp of the day. We’ll visit the museum and park in the same day.

Day03. The day for acclimatization. We’ll visit Everest View hotel and Khundi hospital. Lunch will be served in Khumjung Village. After that we will be climb down to the Namche Bazar.

Day04. Trek to Tengboche (3 867 m.), We’ll visit Tengboche monastery, watch the documentary about Tengboche in the Eco-Information left. In the documentary you can see the local Mani Rimdo Festival and fabulous views of Amadablam and Mt. Everest. We will walk five hours and have lunch at the bank of the river or the starting point for climbing up to Tengboche. Interesting things are the Bakery Café and internet.

Day05. Trek to Dingboche (4 410 m). Dingboche is a comfortable warm place on high altitude. We will have lunch at Pangboche. Totally we will walk four hours. Pheriche is at the left side of Dingboche. Here is the hospital for high altitude sickness. In the evening you have good chance to attend an interaction program about altitude sickness with an American nurse.

Day 06. Acclimatization day. We will climb up to Chhukhung Ri (5 550 m).

Day 07. Trek to Lobuche (4 940 m) most cold shelter point. We will walk approximately five hours. We will sleep in a resort with attached bath. We will take lunch at Thokla near the starting point of BabuT-Shring Park.

Day 08. Trek to Gorakhshep (5 288 m) from Lobuche. After breakfast we will start walking to Gorakshhep for about 2 and half hours. We will lunch and take a short break in Gorakshhep. After lunch we’ll walk to EBC (Everest Base Camp) and return to the camp site.

Day 09. Trek to Dzonglha (4 843 m). Early in the morning we climb to Kala Patthar and view the Everest face to face. The nearest and the best place to watch the Sagarmatha will be just under the Pumori, also known as the killer mountain. We will go back to Gorakshep for breakfast. After we’ll start to walk again and head for Labuche and Dzonglha. In total we will walk 6 hours that day.

Day 10. Today we visit the Chola Pass (5 420 m.) and we camp at Gokyo Lake (4 790 m). The day after we will walk to Six-Lakes and try to climb Nave-Peak (5 544 m). We carry our lunch ourselves which is provided by the tour leader. We‘ll go back to the campsite where we prepare our visit to the Renjo-La pass.

Day 11. After we visit the Renjo Pass (5 435 m) we climb down Marulung (4 210 m). This day we cross the last high pass during our trip. We have a picnic at Renjo Lake. We’ll walk four and half hours in total.

Day 12. Trek to Thamo (3 493 m). After lunch in Thame, we will move slowly for Thamo where we will visit Buddhist monasteries in the evening time. We also have great opportunities to meet Everest climbers.

Day 13. Trek to Manjo (2 840 m). Climb down to Thamu. In Namche Bazar we’ll have lunch. Total walkingtime is five hours.

Day 14. Return to Lukla (2 840 m). Our lunch camp will be Phakding. After lunch we will slowly walk for Lukla. We spend our last night in Mera Lodge.

Day 15. After breakfast in Mera Lodge we fly to Kathmandu. After arrival you can relax or visit Durbar Square and Monkey Temple (World Heritage Area).

The below cost is quoted under the basis of per day per person:
For a group size more than 10 persons, a group leader will be offered as complementary by company. If the group has own leader, he/she will be offered the trek free of cost.

The Price includes:
